Awarded a Silver Plaque at Chicago International Film Festival, joint runner-up for the BBC New Filmmakers Award, Stuart Mackay Best Sound Editor at Broadcast Young Talent Awards and awarded a print grant by the British Council.

Screened at Chicago International Film Fest, Edinburgh International Film Fest, AFI Fest, Palm Springs Film Fest, London Film Fest, Brief Encounters Film Fest, Cardiff Screen Fest, Foyle Film Fest, Commonwealth Film Fest and Shanghai International Film Fest.

Fishy also screened in the Widening The Lens Programme at Brief Encounters Film Festival 2016.

Glenda, an unemployed misfit, falls in love with Freddie, her goldfish. As her search for work flounders, her love for Freddie deepens and she feels her place is at his side…

History
Fishy was shot on Super 35mm at Three Mills Studios and on location in London.
Post-production was via the “digital intermediate” route. The 35mm film negative was scanned at 2k resolution by Digital Film Lab, conformed on an Inferno, and outputted back to 35mm.
The Dolby Digital sound was mixed at Twickenham Film Studios.
Fishy premiered at Edinburgh International Film Fest in September 2003.
